Senior Java Developer

Requirements and responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Java-based applications
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, QA and other teams to define technical solutions
• Review and optimize existing codebases; ensure high performance, reliability, and security
• Participate in architecture and design discussions; suggest improvements and best practices
• Manage build & deployment pipelines (CI/CD), and upkeep reliable release workflows
• Produce clear technical documentation, run through functional and integration testing

Requirements

• Java skills: 4–5 years’ hands-on experience with Core Java, Micronaut/Spring, multithreading, design patterns
• Frameworks: Strong experience in Spring (Boot, MVC) or Quarkus or Micronaut, Hibernate/JPA; familiarity with RESTful APIs
• Databases: Proficient in SQL and relational DBs (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle); optionally NoSQL
• Tools/DevOps: Git, Maven or Gradle; exposure to CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.); Docker/Kubernetes a plus
• Architecture: Experience with microservices, service-oriented design, distributed systems
• Testing: Unit testing (JUnit, Mockito) and integration testing experience
• Language: Fluent in both English and Hungarian (spoken and written)
• Nice to have: Front-end basics (JavaScript, React/Angular), message queues (Kafka/RabbitMQ), cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
